COSMOPOLITAN FASHION CAFE
As part of "30 Days of Fashion and Beauty" throughout the month of September, TONI&GUY joined forces with Cosmopolitan magazine on Tuesday 15th September as part of the Fashion Cafe down at Circular Quay, Sydney.
From 7am to 5pm, the Fashion Cafe came alive with a sea of shoes and lingerie, coffee and cocktails and makeup to compliment the Free Blowdries provided by TONI&GUY and the team from Parramatta to the public that passed through the tent.
To really bring alive the day, fashion parades were held every hour or so and the fashion spreads of the next issue of Cosmo were taking place to the right of the tent with TONI&GUY providing the hair direction for the shoot.
Overall, consumers left with gorgeous bouncing blowdries and a heavy bag full of goodies.

Which three people would you love to dine with?
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Quentin Tarantino and Hunter F. Thompson.
What music are you listening to at the moment?
I have a very eclectic taste in music so at the moment it’s Xavier Rudd, The Black Keys and Geoffrey Yunupingu.
What attracted you to hairdressing?
The appeal of not being stuck in an office job and being part of the 9-5 daily grind really attracted me. And it can take you whereever you like. But of course the ladies as well.
Blythe - Salon Director/Salon Owner/Art Director
What music are you listening to at the moment?
Music that I’m loving at the moment is La Roux, deadmau5, Blue Juice, The Rapture and Paul Dempsey. I just always have my radio on Triple J, I love it!
How long have you been in the hairdressing industry?
I have been in hairdressing for 12 years, working for TONI&GUY for 8 of those years. I started at TONI&GUY Parramatta and was there for one year before moving to Leichhardt T&G with Kathy, again for 1 year. I then worked on a cruise ship for 1 year, on a world tour. When I returned to Sydney I began teaching at the TONI&GUY Academy while working at T&G Avalon. I then bought TONI&GUY Parramatta and have been there for 3 and a half years. In August 2009 I bought TONI&GUY Chatswood.
What do you like most about working for TONI&GUY?
The thing I love most about being a part of the TONI&GUY team is that we have the highest standards in the world. All staff are highly trained and enjoy making sure everyone we see experiences the best, in everything we do!

Which three people would you love to dine with?
I would love to have Salvador Dali, Alexander Wang and Haruki Murakami over. Dali and Murakami get the invite for their obviously different but amazing perspective on everything, but Alexander Wang is over in the vain hope that he will bring me gifts of shoes and bags.
What do you like most about working for TONI&GUY?
The people I work with and all of the people that you meet. There’s never a dull moment in terms of personality and hairstyles.
What is your favourite thing to do on your day off?
Walk my dog Henry and quote Seinfeld with my best friend Kimmy.

Which three people would you love to dine with?
As I have been away from home since October 2008 I would love to dine with my Mum, Dad and my best friend Kelly.
What product could you not live without?
Label.m Souffle and Sea Salt Spray, as I like the distressed sexy texture they give.
How long have you been in the industry?
I have been working for TONI&GUY for over 4 years now. I started in the UK at Essensuals TONI&GUY Chester and then I came to TONI&GUY Australia in October 2008.

What are you favourite hairstyles and trends?
My favourite look would have to be the centre parting that girls are wearing. It’s great for growing out your winter fringe with softness!
What inspires you?
I would have to say celebrities inspire me. They always seem to set the rules for us. Fashion always inspires me, especially when the hair is done in conjunction with clothes. My favourites are always Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier and more recently Sass&Bide.

What are you favourite hairstyles and trends?
Mak and I are trying to bring back crimps. I just tried crimped roots pulled into a high bun. Contrasting textures but still cute and feminine.
