On Monday 9th of November, Toni&Guy Australia held Vortex, the 2010 Toni&Guy Collection Launch. This event was held at Sydney’s famous Luna Park, right next to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Attracting over 1,200 industry, media and a-list, the event was soon tagged the best hair show ever seen in Australia. The show featured the new Toni&Guy hair collection for 2010, called Interactive, as well as out-there Avant Garde and a tribute to Toni&Guy’s involvement in London Fashion Week. Clothing was by Australia’s top designers, Josh Goot, Wayne Cooper and Romance Was Born.
The show also featured the talents of Australia’s best male dancers and a breathtaking laser show, staring the world renowned Tracy Bourke; leaving the audience in awe.
With hosts Charlotte Dawson (Australia’s Next Top Model) and Rachael Finch (Miss Universe Australia) you can see why the event attracted so many Australian celebrities, 200 in total. Guests included the Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies, Dancing with Star’s Carmelo Pizzino, Idol’s Jay Dee, the team from Master Chef, Top Model’s Alice Burdeu and even surfer Taj Burrows.
The show finished with an official after-party held by Label.m and Foxtel’s Fashion TV, in which the party-goers drank the bar dry well before midnight. This was definitely hair’s biggest night!
