TONI&GUY Norwood is situated in the cosmopolitan shopping and dining precinct on The Parade Norwood.
Now in its fifth year of business, the salon is now under the guidance and ownership of Cristiano and Amanda Menicacci, TONI&GUY’s very own power couple. This extraordinary pair are currently the driving force behind the North Adelaide salon and are now looking forward to taking Norwood to the next level as well. Amanda is one of TONI&GUY’s top educators and a very creative individual. She is currently nominated for SA Hairdresser of the Year 2010. Whilst Cristiano is the driving force behind the management of the salon and its talented team and will now be based mostly in Norwood.
The TONI&GUY Norwood team boasts industry recognition of its outstanding work, and an interesting blend of quirky and creative personalities, from all around the world including the UK, Germany and Italy who come together to give TONI&GUY Norwood its own well known and loved personality. We also think that our ‘to-die-for’ head massages are partly responsible for this excellent reputation!

What are your favourite hot spots around town?

What are your strengths in the salon?
Creating styles that suit every aspect of a client’s personality and lifestyle. Styles are wearable and easy to do at home. Educating my clients on how to do their hair.
What products can’t you live without?
label.m Thickening Cream for natural non- sticky volume and total control over my cutting. label.m Mesh Styling for that edgy finish on hard to style curly hair.
What inspires you?
Fabrics for textures, architecture for shapes and Manga for short styles with edge.
How long have you been in the industry?
17 years. I started in Sydney where I learned versatility then moved to Adelaide 12 years ago realising cutting was my strength.

What are your strengths in the salon?
My strength is definitely the ability to make any haircut “3D.” I love natural colour, it sounds simple, but is hard to master.
Why did you become a hairdresser?
I became a hairdresser 16 years ago after finishing university & my hairdresser telling me I would be great at it. I fell into it and haven’t fallen out since.
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by nature, the colours we are surrounded by, my family and yoga.

How long have you been in the industry?
I have been in the hairdressing industry for over 10 years now, I have always wanted to be a hairdresser, since I can remember, so as soon as I finished school I started an apprenticeship.
I have trained and worked in London in the UK for the past 10 years, working in our TONI&GUY Regent street salon for the past 5 years as a Senior Colour Specialist.
I have recently relocated to Australia from the UK and I am loving every minute of it.
What are your strengths in the salon?
My main strength would have to be the passion I have for colour, I love intermixing different colours and tones to make personalised pallets of colour for my clients.
Colour definitely has a massive impact on how it makes you feel, to listen and solve clients needs and get it right is a great confidence booster for my clients.

What inspires you?
All colours, textures and shapes that I see every day as well as watching fashion shows and the talented team in my salon.
