TONI&GUY Randwick recognises that clients have a busy lifestyle and is open extended hours, including late nights Wednesday and Thursday and all day Saturday, so that everyone can achieve the look they desire. Vincenta Russell
SALON OWNER
Vincenta Russell has had a passion for hair since a young age. ‘I remember that my hairdressing dream started at four years old when I loved pretending to perm my mums’ hair with tissues and pegs.
This enthusiasm continued with every visit to the hairdresser, where Vincenta would watch closely to see what was being done, so it was a natural decision for her to start her apprenticeship at fifteen years old.
After moving to Sydney in 2006, Vincenta started working as a stylist for Toni&Guy Randwick till she went travelling in 2009.
So when she returned to Australia in 2010, it felt only natural for her to come back to her favourite salon. When the former salon owner Nicki Fraser decided to sell, Vincenta jumped at the opportunity to become leader of the pack and fulfil a lifetime dream of owning her own TONI&GUY salon.
As salon owner and Art Director Vincenta gives her full potential to all of her clients and loves making people feel special whether it be a big change or a regular trim, as she loves to cut and help her clients with their hair.
Kerry Hooper-Richardson
ART DIRECTOR
Kerry has been in the hairdressing industry since she was 13 years old and since then, not a day has gone by that she hasn’t enjoyed and felt a sense of achievement.
Kerry has been lucky in her career to have had fantastic mentors and experiences, the latest being achieving a place in the national finals of Wella Trend Vision and being involved in Couture fashion photographic shoots.
She has worked for TONI&GUY for 12 years in England and Australia. Since moving to Australia three years ago Kerry has been heavily involved in the TONI&GUY Art Team and training and mentoring apprentices and young hairdressers to help them achieve their targets and goals within this remarkable and diverse industry.
Sondrene Bevege
HEAD TECHNICIAN
SODRENE IS BACK ON SATURDAY MORNINGS.
Sondrene is our exceptionally talented Head Technician. Sondrene has been in the industry for more than 10 years and loves to make people look and feel their best.
Sondrenes strengths are: Colour of course. She just loves finding ways to use colour, and is renowned for her work on blondes.
One of Sondrenes achievements was a highly commended award in the L’Oreal Colour Trophy. Sondrene is now back from maternity leave. She is now back on Saturday mornings.
What are your strengths?
I am passionate about colour, of course! I love finding ways to use colour to make my clients look sensational. And I’m renowned for my colour work on blondes. I also have good leadership qualities, and love assisting in running the salon.
What do you like about working for TONI&GUY?
There are so many things! First, the training. TONI&GUY offer ongoing training for their staff, so we’re always up-to date with the latest styles around the world. Plus there’s the fantastic support we get from the company, both locally and internationally. And finally, the incentives TONI&GUY offer for hard working staff who show exceptional talent.
What are your passions outside of work?
I love being fit and healthy and am competing in a mini triathlon later this year. I'm looking forward to what 2009 has to bring - I have just bought my first unit and am excited about getting married in September!
Hayden Doherty
TECHNICIAN
Hayden has been with us for 2 months, originally working at both TONI&GUY Bondi Junction and also TONI&GUY Bondi Beach.
He aspires to Educate within TONI&GUY and to develop his strengths to become a National Art Director/Educator.
Hayden is an amazing Technician and does very beautiful colour work. He is extremely good with his clients new and excisting. Originally from Newcastle, Hayden has moved here to Sydney to make his dream a reality and move his way up the ranks with TONI&GUY.
Natalie Tan
TOP STYLIST
Natalie Tan has been working for TONI&GUY Randwick for six years. Natalie started her apprenticeship with TONI&GUY in 2005 and is currently working as a Top Stylist at Randwick.
One of Natalie’s favourite aspects about hairdressing is that she gets to work everyday in a creative job that she loves. She always enjoys seeing her regular clients and is keen to help new clients with a style that will suit their personality and lifestyle.
What do you love most about working in the salon?
I love constantly meeting new people, educating clients on what styles suit them and how to achieve the "hot" new seasons looks.
Favorite place to visit in the eastern suburbs?
I love going to the beach and the local markets.
Passions outside of work?
I recently helped out at the V Festival VIP tent and loved it! I got to meet Vanilla Ice and saw lots of cool bands. I love to travel and have just spent a month in South America which was amazing!
Three words that describe the work you do in the salon?
Classic, sexy and fresh.
