MEET THE TEAM!

FROM THE VERY BEGINNING

Jude and Paul McEwen met in Royal Tunbridge Wells Kent England five years ago, when their eyes meet over the salon floor of TONI&GUY. Their romance, only able to be kept a secret in the salon for a few weeks, resulted in a beautiful wedding 18 months later, where the hair of the guests and wedding party were the focus of the day.

Destined to be a driving force together in the hairdressing world they have followed their dreams of immigrating to Australia and becoming Salon owners.

First falling in love with the country while travelling, they relocated to Sydney in 2007. Having been with the company for over fifteen years each they have gone from strength to strength, sharing the management of running salons in England and Australia. However when the opportunity arose to achieve this great dream, it was perfect timing and a relocation to sunny Perth was in order.

Judith’s love of fashion and obsession with accessories threatens the expansion of their living arrangements as a mountain of handbags takes over their house. Whilst for Paul, turning thirty may have been the end of his aspiration to play professional soccer, he still supports his beloved Spurs and can talk the ear off anyone about most other sports.

Hairdressing, It is my passion and my career. It is my first memory of doing something I was really good at!
I have never struggled for conversation. In fact, it is a challenge to get me to shut up! The idea that I could get paid to talk while making people feel better about them selves was amazing.
The salon is now in it’s third year and we have seen both the clientele and business grow. I think it remains my passion for hair and pushing boundaries that keeps us all motivated.
It was a privilege to have been nominated as a finalist for W/A Hairdresser of the year in 2011 in the Australian awards, I am very proud of this achievement. It would not have been possible with out the support of our wonderful team.

Paul McEwen

I am an amazing 18 years into my journey with TONI&GUY, so I do consider myself part of the family. To think that my main reason for starting hairdressing was to meet girls, it seems quite ironic that I now own one with my wife.
I have had the most amazing journey and there is nothing that makes me prouder than to walk into our beautiful salon and see what we have built.
Last year we went back to England and spent some time at the TONI&GUY Academy in London, I always feel that creativity and love to use the latest techniques here in our shop.

I have worked for TONI&GUY for 9 years starting my varder at Manchester Academy where i achieved my colour specialist degree. My partner and i immigrated to Australia in 2010. I have received some great opportunities working for TONI&GUY Perth Central working back stage at Sydney Mainstage 2010, assisting photo shoots and fashion shows. I'm very privileged to be educating our assistants in technical training and gaining constant education and training from our artistic art team in Perth.

I have been working with the company since 1997. I have had an amazing journey working with Toni & Guy for the last 14 years. I was given the opportunity to travel and work aboard with my partner at Toni & Guy Birmingham before returning to Australia to start a family. I now balance my family life with working part time at Perth Central and freelancing hair and makeup for weddings.

I have worked for TONI&GUY for 5 years starting my technical Varder in the Dublin academy, then transferring after my Varder to Waterford, Ireland to educate and train.

Working for an International company has given me the opportunity to work abroad and emigrate with my partner to Australia.

I’m excited to now be based in Perth working at Wolf Lane salon. Since arriving I have been assisting with the new collection, Alignment and thoroughly enjoying the salon environment and sun in beautiful Perth!

I have been working for TONI&GUY since 1997, starting my Varder at London Academy before seeking full time employment at TONI&GUY Chiswick where i was based for 12 years before returning back to Australia with my partner and children. I have been working part time at TONI&GUY Perth for the last 18 months where i have been assisting fashion shows and photo shoots. Working for the company has given me great opportunities to travel and build a great friendship all around the world with clients and staff.

I have been hairdressing for 21 years, starting with TONI&GUY Singapore in 2002 before immigrating to Australia with my son in 2005. I have worked with TONI&GUY Perth Central for the last 4 years. TONI&GUY have given me the opportunity to travel and experience constant training and education within the company.

Dan Morgan
Top Stylist

I joined the company in 1999, starting my career in the Newcastle Academy, England. Since then my TONI&GUY Journey has enabled me to work in Nottingham and Manchester. It has been an exciting change of direction to relocate out to Australia. I am excited about being able to start my new life, where my family have lived for the past ten years.
I look forward to building a clientele that share my love for trendy and modern cuts.

I have worked for TONI&GUY for many years and love the atmosphere of the salon and the people. I now balance working freelance as a Make up Artist and Hairdresser, for magazines such as Grazia with work at Chanel 7 but I really enjoy coming back to the salon. I'm available for makeup and hair appointments at TONI&GUY Perth Central. Call the salon to arrange a personal consultation.

I have been with the company for 9 years working my way up from assistant to senior technician, where i was given the opportunity to work on fashion shows, session styling and photo shoots in Australia and abroad. I have been fortunate enough to travel the world with the company working with TONI&GUY Covent Garden as salon coordinator before returning home to Australia. I have been back at TONI&GUY Perth Central for 13 months as Reception/Salon coordinator. At Perth Central my job role is to coordinate the salons Weddings/Marketing/Fashion parades/Weddings so please don't hesitate to contact me at the salon.

PINK BREAST CANCER BREAKFAST - SUNDAY 16TH OCTOBER 2011

TONI&GUY Perth Central would like to say a huge thank to everyone that supported our Pink Breast Cancer Breakfast on Sunday. We had a fantastic day with over 60 women attending the morning, as we rolled out the pink carpet on Perth’s trendy lane Wolf Lane, put on the glitz and glamour and sipped champagne and indulged on food supplied by local businesses in support of Breast Cancer! TONI&GUY Perth Central raised an amazing amount of $3,790 so thank you to everyone that donated to this great cause.
