2010 CREATIVE ACADEMY CALENDAR

CLASSIC PRECISION CUT & COLOUR

CUT: This course is designed for 1st and 2nd year apprentices. Through practical workshops you will be taught fundamental techniques which are crucial to anyone starting out in hairdressing. Through demonstrations and practical sessions you will learn to reinforce and refine previously learnt techniques to give you a technical edge that results in even more accurate cutting. Basic cutting skills are a prerequisite of this course.

COLOUR: This course will allow you to develop consistent methodologies, efficiency, colour techniques, design and structure. It is designed for 1st & 2nd year apprentices. Basic colour skills are a prerequisite for this course.

CONTEMPORARY CLASSICS CUT& COLOUR

Contemporary Classics teaches the technological foundation from which all advanced techniques are based. A thorough understanding of these techniques is the key to further progression. Contemporary Classics is suitable for anyone wishing to upgrade, strengthen and improve their cutting or colouring techniques. The course is ideal for 3rd and 4th year apprentices through to senior hairdressers wanting to do a refresher.

CREATIVE CUT & COLOUR

This course is designed for the advanced hairdresser and really is the ultimate example of TONI&GUY creative thinking at its best. It has been created to accommodate new fashion trends in hair as they develop. With particular emphasis on image, this highly motivational course is the perfect vehicle for exposing students to new and groundbreaking ideas.

PHOTOGRAPHIC STYLING COURSE

The TONI &GUY Photographic Course is an entry level program, designed to teach the fundamental skills of photographic styling to someone who is looking to pursue a career in session styling, film or television, enter photographic competitions, develop a general understanding of how editorials are constructed or experiment in front of the camera.

The course is designed in three parts, firstly to teach the organizational skills required to plan a concept and schedule a shoot. Secondly, to familiarize the student with all lighting and studio equipment, as well as brief example of how a camera functions. Thirdly, to provide a hands on learning experience in which the student creates a hairstyle and shoot with a professional photographer!

The student is required only to have a basic understanding of hairdressing but must have a keen interest in learning more about photographic styling. On the day we ask the student arrive at 9.45am for a 10am start and to provide their own model for the workshop at 12pm. They will also require their own hairdressing kit. The course cost is a standard day rate, which is $330. Courses are run on request, minimum of 5 people - maximum of 10 people per course.

SPEED COLOUR

Designed for experienced technicians, this course will take you to the next level. Pushing the boundaries to another level of creativity it will improve your skills with consultation, combining the most effective elements of colouring to produce an outstanding result in the minimum time.

MENS

This course is designed for hairdressers who want to strengthen their techniques. To get the most from this course, students should be qualified Stylists and have an understanding of men’s hairdressing. This course will give an insight into how TONI&GUY pushes boundaries with regards to men’s fashion and cutting/colouring techniques.
